San Antonio Hippocratic Oath

Every profession has certain guidelines and ethics that have to be followed. The ethics in every profession is the thing that everyone must follow in order to make it a good and friendly one and which helps the other people. Every profession has a type of oath or promise that one must keep. Such an oath in medicine and the one taken by doctors are called as Hippocratic Oath and it has to be taken by all the doctors and surgeons when they pass on to become a professional. The original Hippocratic Oath has now been modified and suited to the modern community. It has changed well over the years and will keep changing according to the society.

The modern Hippocratic Oath also has a lot of significance. Such a Hippocratic Oath also exists in San Antonio. The older version praises the Gods and teachers and entitles one to preach medicine and the art of medicine to their sons and so on. But they have been removed and modified to existing circumstances. The modern oath asks them to support their teachers and support their children when the situation demands. It also asks them to do just to their profession, and perform with maximum ability. It asks them not to cause harm to anyone under any sort of circumstances. It asks them not to perform abortion and violate the laws of community. It asks them to keep the confidentiality of the patient’s records. These are the things mentioned in San Antonio’s Hippocratic Oath.
